In All Wales Ambulance Services Ltd, the patient comes first and foremost next to safety and no expense or effort is spared when it comes to this very important part of the work. All crews are fully trained, whether the need be for just Medical Attendant, Nurse escort or Paramedic cover, short or long distance transport. We turn out a vast number of journeys throughout the year with over 10,000 patients annually being transported from just one healthcare trust alone. Over 2 million 600,000 miles were travelled last year and that is set to increase this year with luck. In the last 12 months, we have employed an extra 14 Full-Time staff and an extra 8 Part-Time staff, all of whom have received high standards of training and evaluation in patient care.
